1960s Art Nouveau Revival Posters
Much of the psychedelia of the 1960s owes its style to an Art Nouveau revival inspired by milestone exhibitions at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and at the MoMA in New York in the 1950s.
Art Nouveau had been forgotten and discredited prior to this - with the exception of the burlesque of it by Surrealists in the 1930s - but it has thankfully now taken its rightful place in the history of art.
Following are a sampling of images of 1960s Art Nouveau Revival posters. I took photos of these as they were printed in a French book of Belle Époque Art Nouveau posters.
