Colibrí
Colibrí is my first watercolor painting (done as an adult)! I love how it turned out. Watercolor paintings look much more ephemeral to me than oil paintings. There are pluses and minuses to that: The pluses are that watercolor has a much lighter, freer aesthetic, and that often lends itself to Beauty - love the way that watercolor bleeds and runs. The minuses are that watercolor paintings rarely look as substantial as oil paintings, and they are generally painted on thick paper, which does not lend itself to durability.
But overall, I found watercoloring to be perhaps even more therapeutic than oil painting.
