Starry Night Cracker (Hamadryas laodamia) is a deeply beautiful dark blue butterfly which lives in Central and South America. It makes a cracking sound with its wings, hence its name. 

I just can't take my eyes off of the painting. It looks like Isis with her stars, and the shape reminds me of the Nubian wig worn by Egyptian queens.
