Florence Juggernaut: Easter Colossus and The Single White Dove
Four giant white bulls pull a crowned juggernaut containing a single white holy dove through the city of Florence every Easter. The Florence Easter Parade begins at the Western Gate of Florence in Ognissanti, and makes its way to the center of town where the dove is released as a sign of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Pictures cannot convey the enormity of the bulls - they are beyond awe-inspiring and verge on being terrifying. The men in the images are average height, and the bulls are as tall as horses with immensely muscular bodies. The dove is hidden away somewhere inside the juggernaut.
Following is a short movie of the event, as well as various still images.
